It's a Set Up!

NIV - Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Rest assured today, God is in full control of this earth! Nothing happens without His permission and nothing is done without US on His mind. You might feel that your world is out of control, BUT God has never left you! You might not be able to see beyond your situation, but he already see’s what is beyond your situation. Matter of fact, He has already been beyond your situation, trying to prepare you to make it there! Even though storms are brewing, rain is falling, floods are over taking, and your earth is shaken – don’t you know that He knows ALL that! None of these life shattering circumstances, have taken God by surprise. None of these life shattering circumstances, has God worried. He is all knowing, He is everywhere present, and He is ALL powerful and you better believe that anything He allows to happen is for…“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

It is all a set up!

The Revolution

A sudden or momentous change in a situation…..this is what defines a revolution. Revolution is more then a decision….it is a declaration! A revolution can not be just words, nor can we be half hearted in our actions. It must be done with everything within us. The final words of the Declaration of Independence have proven to be words with actions responsible for building our great country “....and for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

The Bible says in the book of James chapter 2 and verses 14-17, “What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”

We can say we have FAITH, but do our actions show it? The Bible is very clear. If we have FAITH, then we should see the fruit of that FAITH following it. A revolution in our life will take our Sunday experience into the other six days of the week. Your revolution can start someone else’s revolution. As we make a declaration, we will see a sudden or momentous change in lives all around us.

New Property Update

It is official! Faith Tabernacle now owns 110 Utopia Rd. Last Wednesday, November 18th we closed on an existing building that used to be a local gym in Manchester called Body Fit. With five acres of land and a building three times our current size (24,700 sq ft), we will be able to continue to reach out to those in need in our community. We are waiting for the approval of our building permits. Once those are approved, we will be ready to start the renovations of transforming into our new house of worship. Our completion goal is March 2010.

Faith, we have much to be thankful for! During this time of Thanksgiving, I pray that your families are blessed.

Day #27 has arrived on our 28 day journey through the book of Acts and the Daniels Fast. What amazing unity throughout the body of FAITH! You can feel the spiritual climate changing in the atmosphere. This month has not been just about eating certain foods but rather about aligning ourselves in preparation for God will use us. Why Acts? Because this is the birth of the church. In Acts, we find God first pouring out his Spirit after He ascended into the heavens. This long awaited promise was fulfilled first in the upper room to 120 gathered together and began to overflow to the streets. On the day of Pentecost, we find Peter boldly proclaiming the Gospel of death, burial and resurrection. We find it summed up in Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” On the same day 3,000 were added to the church. This marked a day in history of not the end…but only the beginning of what God had for His church!

We proclaim boldly and are not ashamed to be a 21st Century Apostolic Church. We believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking with other tongues (just like Acts 2) as not just an extra gift, but the gift that has been promised to every believer! We believe that God still performs miracles. We believe nothing is too hard for Him. We walk in this confidence not of ourselves, but of the God that dwells within us.
October 25, 2009 - Building and Fast Update

This past week has been an extraordinary week at our future property. God gave us the perfect weather last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to complete the painting for the outside of the building. It looks great!

On Friday, we continued our demolition on the inside of the building, ripping out walls, ceilings, carpets, floor tiles, and gutting bathrooms and showers. Today, after service we will continue our efforts. Our goal is to try to remove as much as we can from the demolition cost of $30,000. Thank you to all the “Men of Faith” that have been instrumental in this over the past few months.

Today marks day number 20 out of 28 in our Daniel’s Fast. This journey has been inspiring seeing the body of “Faith” pray, fast, and read the book of Acts together. As we finish, let’s continue to pray for our city and many that need Christ. Let us be bold, just like the apostles understanding that the Kingdom of God is within us.

Honored to be called your Pastor..
